Donation

We must thank Moffat Academy pupils and staff for Moffat and District Men's shed, by nominating us as the local charity to be awarded £3000.

Three teams of Moffat academy pupils chose us as their charity to use in a presentation competition run by YPI ( Youth, Philanthropy, Initiative Scotland ) and their partner The Holywood Trust.

Two teams made it through to the final yesterday and team number two were judged as giving the best prestation by a panel of judges. Team two nominated our shed as the charity to be awarded the prize of £3000.

The running costs to keep our shed running come to approx. £5000 per annum, as we pay a commercial rent, so this £3000 will go a long way in keeping our shed alive and allowing to operate in the local community.
