The Summer Of 2025

The Moffat men's shed has had a busy summer taking on many commissions from within the community.

Furniture repair has featured strongly with repairs being carried to much loved pieces and new parts being being manufactured to replace broken and worn out parts.

we are no experts but the joy of seeing a much loved piece being brought back to life, and the joy this brings to the owners is very special indeed.

We were asked to make 2 very special bird feeders, our shedder Ted excelled in this task and the feeders are now in use and reports suggest they are working well. This is a great example of turning good ideas into reality and the collaboration between the shed and community members.

The local primary school had the confidence to give the shed a commission to make an out door stage for the pupils to use shedder Peter build this stage and installed it, plans are afoot to build a planter for the school out of the wood that was left spare.

We have wood turned trophy stands, oak pegs for building construction, specialist bird boxes, bowls, and transformed old bowling balls into bowls and jewelry holders. and yet again I cannot give enough praise to shedder George our woodturner to turn peoples dreams into reality, a very skillful man.

We took part in the Moffat promotions mass garage sale and had a very successful sale met loads of members of the community made friends and received commissions for more work thank you Moffat Promotions for giving us the opportunity to take part.

HELP REQUIRED

We are now looking for outside help to make a video of the shed in action, interviews with members, with the end purpose of putting this into our web site to promote our shed , is there anyone out there who could guide us through the process ?
